Women's History Month
For Women’s History Month, I created, directed, wrote, and edited a content package for Nasty Gal that profiled over 20 female leaders in art, culture, music, education, and activism. The project was shot by Maya Fuhr in Los Angeles and New York.

“I’ve started to see shift is that women are using their power to create jobs and opportunities for other women. That’s the emphasis I think we really need to be focusing on now; instead of thinking of feminism in terms of how women can individually achieve more success.” - Elise Bauman, actor and activist

“The first thing I kind of saw myself in was a Lane Bryant campaign when I was in college, and I remember being like, that’s going to be me. I had already spoken about my body issues at that time, but actually seeing that made me feel like everything I believed was valid and real.” - Diana Veras, model

“When you are happy with who you are, people notice. That is when you are most powerful.” Jay Krakower, model

“The female energy brings a different archetype for leadership to the table, which is the very thing that might heal our earth.” - Madame Gandhi, musician, producer, activist and free-bleeding runner at the 2015 London Marathon

“We’re in a time right now where we are being more and more inclusive and opening up ideas on what the word gender is—a manmade word to put a person into the binary—but not everyone fits in one box.” - Gloria Noto, founder of NOTO Botanics

“If I held onto the idea that a Muslim woman doesn’t belong in fashion or in front of the camera, then I wouldn’t be doing what I’m doing. Find what you love and be your truest self.” - Maria Alia

“I’m a big proponent of safe spaces for marginalized communities—spaces that let them celebrate what makes them different.” - Ally Hickson, Refinery29 editor and founder of Unbothered
